Who are the main characters of The Babel Syndrome?

Look too closely, and you might forget that these individuals exist in Gregory Hamilton's realm of literary fantasy. With interactive online presence, these characters from The Babel Syndrome series will come alive to the reader!

Pascal Yves Alexis

Pascal Yves Alexis was born on May 30, 1984 in Basse Terre, Guadeloupe. As an adolescent, he developed a love of American English, and consequently, American culture. As a result, he became fluent, and for a long time dreamed of having an illustrious career in the United States as a journalist. He looked up to some of the greats in his field such as Roland Martin, Bob Woodruff, Anderson Cooper, and Melissa Harris-Perry. He has a younger sister, Christelle, who lives in Arlington, VA. He is currently seeking opportunities at Dibert-Fitzpatrick, the media firm where he works, to cover anti-Islamic State coalition operations being discussed at NATO Headquarters.  Pascal was recently nominated as the Washington Post's most eligible bachelor. But sorry ladies-  with his charming French accent, the winsome, bronze-toned Pascal Alexis shows no sign of relinquishing his bachelorhood anytime soon!

Alessandra Teresa Di Napoli

Like most young, Italian women, Alessandra Di Napoli spent her entire childhood reaffirming her obedience to and respect for her parents. Fluent in French and Portuguese, she enjoys piano, fashion, and spending time with her friends. Born on June 19, 1989, Alessandra, known to her family as 'Sandrina',  always longed for adventure. Having fulfilled her perceived obligations to her family, and sensing the need for opportunity southern Italy cannot provide, she is seeking entry-level employment in wealthier parts of western Europe as a generalist.

And while Alessandra is a natural beauty, no fellas, she has never considered a career in modeling!

Dominik Christoffer Schaerer

Born on July 15, 1969 in Basel, Switzerland, Dominik Schaerer developed an interest in business at an early age. Influenced by a chance meeting with a corporate executive of a pharmaceutical company, Dominik endeavored to form his own pharmaceutical company. With little more than an incontrovertible drive, and a rudimentary education in business management, Dominik discovered the hidden talent of identifying and aligning himself with centers of influence. That talent gained the admiration of an Italian businessman, Pier Paolo Benenati, who took him under his wing and reportedly financed Schaerer’s first forays into the Swiss corporate world. Eventually, Schaerer accomplished his lifelong dream, creating Helvetica Therapeutics, establishing its headquarters in Geneva.

At the age of thirty years old, Schaerer turned in his ladies' man card, and pivoted to  his next strategic goal: mariage.  He began courting Gertrud, eldest daughter of the billionaire, Bruno Schumacher, who founded one of Europe’s largest retailers.

Smitten by the handsome and witty blond, Gertrud was quick to accept what some called a hasty proposal, only months after their first meeting. Just before his thirty-second birthday, Dominik accomplished this goal as well, cementing his status as a serious businessman with a respectable personal life.

Dominik Schaerer is rumored to keep regular contact with Signore Benenati, from whom he gets business and personal advice. Most recently, Schaerer has been advised to sell the controlling interest in his company to a large conglomerate with the hope of maintaining its helm.
